Film found in camera after 68 years: Pearl Harbor attack

Yes, 68 years after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor somebody found a Brownie box camera in an old footlocker.

In the camera was an already exposed roll of film. When they had the roll developed they saw images of the attack on Pearl Harbor as it happened, taken by a young sailor.

You need to read the comments Wally. The above was not the case, but are just archive photos of the bombing. At least the event got the USA involved instead of them sitting on their thumbs & as destructive as the atom bombs (they dropped) were, it was responsible for finally stopping it all & secured my fathers release along with many others. Sorry, but these memorys still bring up feelings & emotions from the war (& of my late father).

^ You are right and I stand corrected.

I hadn't read it before posting other than to look at the photo's. I bunged it up thinking it would be of interest.

I guess I should have checked closer but since the link to the story was sent out via an email from a friend in the US - retired navy. I presumed the details to be correct as he's normally a wee bit of a pedant.

Tomorrow - 7th December, is the anniversary of Pearl Harbour so perhaps, real story or not, the pics are worth looking at if only for historical reasons.

Seems to be the case. Just found it posted on another site with folk picking up on the false info re: the sailor etc.
