  • For film users only

Does any film user need a SIMA film shield (lead lined) for trips via airport x-ray devices? Holds up to 22 rolls of 35mm film. In excellent condition and used once only. Free to members but subject to cost of postage only.

    Film? What's that?
Nah, still got our lead bag from our kids visits to Tonga in their year 10.

Actually, I still have a couple of rolls of film my son didn't use last year for school & I should probably be reaquainted with my Pentax SF7 SLR camera & try some creative photos now I've learnt to use other than auto/programme with my DSLR. Oh, I did use bounce flash with the Pentax SLR. I can also try out this Olympus OM10 I got with a few lenses, seeing so many people have raved on how much they loved their OM cameras.

I'm sure somebody will take up your offer.

I have loads of Fuji Sensia in the fridge - likely to stay there for a while though unless I try a roll or two out to test the OM10 that I was given a few months back.
We still have a slide section in my club's competitions though but entries are going down down down. Shame really as slides were 'real photography' when you had to get just about everything right in camera. Those were the days, eh?

Does that mean I should include my OM10 in my signature too? Mine came with a hard case, OM 50 & 28mm lenses, a couple zooms (not usable) & a cheapy flash, all at reasonable price. Looks like I need to get a film into it with the OM50mm on the front, then I can scan the negative & compare it to the same shot with my E30.

        BTW BobS.
Can you still get film through the airports without them wanting to extract them all to check for explosives or drugs.

I have no idea, Ross. I haven't taken any through for the last six years or so, but I still have a dozen or so spools of film I keep intending to use with my oldest 35mm camera, a Contax 11a rangefinder job. The films are 6 years past their 'use by' date, but what the heck, so am I.

Hello Bob - I'll take up your offer as I often use film. What would you want for postage?

Hi, I'll weigh it and PM you with the postage cost.

                  Hi Xpres

I've weighed it and with packaging it only comes to 153gms so never mind the postage. Treat it as an early Xmas pressie!

PM me your address and I'll put it in the post.
