Is there a maximum capacity that the OM1mkii can take? I think I’m looking for at least 256. And it’s UHD II , right?

The OM compatibility table lists some UHS-i cards at 512Gb and 1TB, and UHS-ii cards at 128Gb.
I suspect this difference is just down to what was available at the time the table was generated (as it lists specific brands of cards). I use UHS-1 and UHS-ii 256GB cards with no issue and I expect any SDXC cards will work (The OM-1 mk2 manual just says SD, SDHC and SDXC cards can be used).
I'm planning on getting some 512Gb UHS-1 cards to use as backup cards at some time.
The only issue I have seen with the larger cards is that the image counter is only 4 digits so using a larger card it will only show 9999 even though a larger number is actually available - when the actual available image storage drops below 9999 it will show an accurate number.

I only use 64GB cards but I don't shoot a lot of video. High bit rate 4K video recording really requires a V60 card, though a good quality V30 card should be OK. The main reason for getting UHS-II cards is to minimise the time you have to wait for the camera's buffer to be emptied after a long high speed continuous stills burst. Not all UHS-II cards are born equal. Check the claimed WRITE speed rate. 280-300MB/sec is what you should be aiming for. Ignore READ rate numbers.
