Yes, shame really, but I am welded to the 300mm & 1.4MC. As said I have hardly used it. I decided the 40-150mm can be my snaking lens, maybe attached to the MC2.0. I am also gathering funds to maybe buy an EM1X, possibly anyway...

Ah.. if only I had the funds. Alas not at the moment.

300mm is far better than the 100-400 even with a 2x on it. If I had not bought mine I would of Snapped it out of your hands Mark. Is a Good lens but that 300mm is Superior in my book. Hope you sell it soon.

Thanks Dennis, not in a hurry here, I'm going off the idea of the EM1X. I read its nearly double the weight of the mk3.....

Hi Mark MJ224----I been told the mk3 is as Good as the M1X. There are things in the M1X I will never use. Don't use everything in my Mk2 as it is LOL. If you getting great images with your Em1 Mk3 then buy another one or wait to see what they bring out in a few months time...I got Two Em1 Mk2 cameras and I love them. Good enough for me. Take Care.

Good thinking. Maybe next years super camera will be the one, but as you say, the mk3 is doing me well anyway...:-))

Wow that was a brief affair with the 100-400 Mark. As you say, 300mm + MC14 is a good combination. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Bill. I have been spoilt by the 300mm and the TC. The IS is amazing. If this does not sell very shortly, I may retract it...:-(

After my fiasco, two in as many weeks, I'd think long and hard Mark.

I generally use it supported.....monopod....beanbag or some such and the IS is fine

    On a monopod.
    Heavily cropped.

Thanks both for comments and thoughts. After using the 300mm +1.4 MC, its more difficult for me to appreciate the 100-400mm. When I do use it, as with the Pany 100-400mm, its almost always at 400mm anyway. Once I bought the 300mm, I very rarely used the Pany...

I have always said I wanted a zoom for snaking, but I realise that I can use my 40-150mm with an appropriate converter.

Rather than have this lens just sitting in the cupboard for 51 weeks of the year, I thought I may go for the EM1X, 2nd hand of course. There seem to be plenty around for the £1300+ mark. I do wonder whether it's weight will be against me. And is it worth waiting for the promised new camera next year.???

GAS etc, By and large, my EM1:3 does me very well, ................

Now you're not going to do 'a Dave' & buy another one next week, are you?

I had thoughts I might like the E-M1X, but still using the E-M1 II & sometimes add the grip, but I have to be thankful I could at least buy the 100-400 lens, being more affordable than the 300 f4 & I like the convenience of zooms & also can't justify further expenditure on another body (yet). Invariable I end up having a subject I need to zoom out for when mostly using the lens at 400mm, so that lens suits me & I just have to manage within its aperture range. I have the 40-150 Pro & MC14 & MC20 for other occasions but have hardly used them since adding the 100-400 lens.

There is a lot of lens redundancy, certainly in my collection. From a fisheye Meike to the 300mm and everything in between. And the camera collection is growing too....

I'm afraid my collection has grown & takes up space on my shelves (I haven't moved any of it on).
