  • WANTED Hld-9

Having played with the 'X' negotiations are underway with the management regarding the purchase of an E-M1 mkii, but it looks like it will have to be grey import and the mark i will have to go. A grip is yet to be discussed; so if anyone has a HLD-9 battery grip they no longer require please PM me an idea of condition and price.
    Thank you

I usually transgress first, buying the desired item & then seeking forgiveness afterwards from 'management'. So far I've stayed married. And I still have the former cameras too.

There is a little issue that I've found with the software with this description sent to Olympus Support.
When using Olympus Workspace in cropping mode, using a selected size (4:3 or 3:2 etc), not original & cropping portrait from a landscape image, the crop reverts to landscape orientation when trying to change the size from clicking on the corner.

I have used that approach in the past Ross, but this time the subject was broached in advance and talks are progressing smoothly!

Yeah, I know that feeling. Before the start of of the year I was told I cannot buy another camera (or lens) this year, however she encouraged me to go along for the 'hands on' of the E-M1X with Olympus saying I might regret it if I don't. Now I have a desire for the 300 F4 lens (it was nice to handle on the body). All the other smaller Pro primes looked nice but not for my use. That MC20 in the case with the 150-400 lens is a definite item I would like for my bag though (but might have to wait till next year though).

I got the chance to use the E-M1X with the 300 and MC14 to shoot Red Kites on Saturday and it felt great, well balanced and the weight was not as much of an issue as expected. The prospect of a MC20 is exciting but F8 at 600mm is going to need very good light or high ISO - time to move to Australia!
I was also impressed with the 12-100 but I am so happy with the 12-40 and 40-150 that I won't be changing.

I'm hoping the MC20 will be nice with the 40-150. That will keep my bag lighter with just two lenses (12-40 & 40-150) with the MC14 & MC20.
