Re: 1.4x / 2x "E" convertors & EX25 MINT !
Oh, I suppose I failed to mention I already own the 35-100mm as well! I've just never used either teleconverter. Having said that, the only purpose the 50-200 serves where I may not have the reach with the 35-100, is sports. I've recently been shooting sports less and less, however that could change and I'm considering the 35-100 and EC14/20 for that purpose. I'd also like to pickup the PL 25mm 1.4, figuring that selling the 50-200 could help achieve both goals. With the EC14, the 35-100 essentially becomes a 49-140 2.8 correct? All of this considered as if the 35-100 wasn't heavy enough already w/o the teleconverter, lol.
Re: 1.4x / 2x "E" convertors & EX25 MINT !
If I had looked I would have noticed the 35-100 in your footnote
OK so you have the lens and therefore know just how good it is. The EC14 will not add that much weight and IQ will hold up but focussing will be slower, not unusable just slower.
I once owned the Pana/Leica 25mm F1.4 and it's a great lens, Ffordes have one for sale at the moment too
Again, rent the EC14 from the forum and see what you think, focussing on the 35-100 with it will be nowhere as quick as the 50-200 SWD without convertor but you may find it good enough for you and then you can search out an EC14 to buy.

Re: 1.4x / 2x "E" convertors & EX25 MINT !
Thanks Simon,
Received the EC2 this morning.
Good price, well packaged, lens in mint condition and speed of delivery was excellent.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy off Simon Bee should he be selling an item that I wanted.
