Coupled with the 50mm f2 macro will give true 1:1 life size.

Will also help make a macro out of the 14-54, 12-60 or 50-200.

I see you mentioned owning the 90-250mm f2.8. Have you also owned the 35-100mm f2? I'm considering selling my 50-200mm SWD, and I'm wondering if either of these teleconverters w/35-100mm would help fill the gap at the long end when necessary.

                              Re: 1.4x / 2x "E" convertors & EX25 MINT !

                              Hi,

Yes I have owned the 35-100 and the IQ with the EC14 is still very high but it does drop off a bit with the EC20. Focussing was slower especially with the EC20 and I would not use that combo too frequently.

Now consider this ...... ( from someone with experiance of both lenses ) whilst there is no doubt that the IQ from the 35-100 is truly stellar, the 50-200 SWD is no slouch either ! The 35-100 is a big & heavy lens and that's spoken by someone who is used to lugging BIG lenses around.

I recently sold the 35-100 along with the 150 F2. I do not regret selling the 35-100 but I do miss the 150, that's a compact optic for its focal length and would not look too silly on the OM-D.

I have now completed the switch to M4/3 but had I kept the E5 ( and I was thinking of doing so ) I was seriously considering going back to a 12/60 & 50/200 SWD combo as both are really great optics without the huge weight.

Rent the 35-100 off the forum and see want you think, there is no doubting its IQ, but its size is often a surprise to many.

                              Kind regards Simon
