I don't use a credit card. Debit card only. Most shops are pretty good as long as you tell them within the given time.

as I just told him he has a years warranty anyway .. but in all honesty think its user error either down to it being on for over two hours with the screen out or a conflict of settings in the menu .. Dennis was told not to change anything when purchased which he has done , but I do feel theres a possible conflict within the menu system now . my advice to him was not to panic and not return it as i'm quite certain it can be resolved with a proper reset .
these are complex beasts at best and its easy to mess up if your not fully aware of what your doing .

I don't think so. As it's banding and flashing, my suspect would be the LCD. or the display circuit.

blu-by-u That is Exactly what I thought when it happened. But never coming across it before I decided to ask the Question about it. My screens are always Open on both my Em1 Mk2 cameras and they are perfect. Also got C1 for birding in flight but slightly set up different to the E-M1X. Thanks for replying.

Is the problem still happening Dennis? My X always behaved well, and not knowingly had that problem...And if I did, it did not clock as something to fix...

Back home on Monday, so any day next week except Wednesday is good for me to meet...:-)

Dennis what are the shop going to tell you ,the employees there will have very limited knowledge of particular brands let alone camera models , so there first instinct will be to cover there backsides and say send it back ..
at the very least give mark a chance to reset it or do it via the phone with me .. if it was doing it constantly then yes it’s a problem but after two hours + of constant use In which you had the screen turned out and switched on there’s a 95% chance it’s user error due to overheating or even a conflicting error in the menu ..
the great unknown in this is the base settings which were input by the previous owner , your own lack of knowledge re set up is not helping either it’s basically a computer and if for instance your instructing it to turn left and right and drive forward at the same time while in reverse gear it’s obviously going to throw a wobbler

          BEST ADVICE DONT PANIC
