Is it Worth buying a second hand E-M1x Like New Boxed with only 535 shutter counts for £800 ???

That's a bargain. But what's your real question (smile)?

Go for it. The understandable fuss about the OM 1 has obscured the fact that the 1X is a very fine camera.

        YES
It's still an extremely capable camera and a bargain now

After the faff with the last one which was unfortunate , a second user one that’s obviously working o.k is a good deal .. I’m loving mine more at every use , you do though need to understand it and fully utilise the C modes . I have one for static birds ,one for b.I.f , and one for birds in foliage .. .
So yes go for it but listen to advise as some things work slightly differently to the other models , ensure as well firmware is up to date before purchase

I shall order it if it is still there. My biggest problem with any Olympus camera is the 'Settings'. I struggle in getting them correct and remembering them. I really need a Good proper printout on the settings like blackfox says. Should I just use it for Wildlife or All things like I do with my Em1 Mk2? Or just set it up for Wildlife??.

I just ordered it from Park Cameras--Pay in three via PayPal. Just what the doctor ordered. lol I liked the E-M1X the first time I tried it. Just have to find the Best settings for it.

There’s not really that much to change Dennis , the main one is IF using bird I.d ensure shutter sens is -2 not +2 barring that most settings are down to individual needs , I’m still learning the beast so other advice might well be wrong . My advice then would be initially not to fiddle with it as it may already be set to optimum

Cheers blackfox--Sound advice as always. I used one of the settings that takes around 20 images of a shutter press on my Em1 Mk2 on Tuesday. Did it twice. NEVER again. I prefer either single shot or around 3. At moment I'm rubbish at Bird photography as nearly 100 were soft or out of focus and the NOISE at iso 1600 up is Terrible. More Practise I guess.

Well you won’t go far wrong with the M1X , use all points , sens -2 ,low speed burst . And set to bird I.d . Just aim at the bird wait for box to turn white ,then green and fire ..

You mean it had the newest update ? what about the one for the new 90mm macro I'm NOT going to buy. Each video I have seen they taking shots at 4 to 10 inches away from insect. No good for me as I can do that with 60mm. I supposed to go on a shoot at 10am this Friday Morn but my parcel is arriving between 1pm & 2pm so I might have to cancel my shoot. Grrrrrr!!

A Follow Up of my E-M1X---As you know by now I sent it back as it was faulty. All my Cash is back in my Bank account. On the 8th Feb 2023 at 1:30am in morning I find a used E-M1X at Park Cameras. Stated it is like NEW with only 535 actuations on it for £799:00. So I ordered it there and then. I was going to pay all the cash at once when PayPal came up and said 'Pay in Three' So I'm paying in 3 instalment. I got my E-M1x Yesterday 10th Feb 2023. All Well Packaged and Sealed as if it was New. Was stated on site that two cables were missing, everything else there. I opened the Box and to my Surprise everything was as clean n tidy as a new pin. No marks whatsoever on the camera and ALL cables, batteries, chargers were in the box..I would Recommend 'Park Cameras' any time. Superb service. I plugged the camera into PC and logged in for a firmware update. It was All ready done for me by Park cameras. I Registered it and took a few shots with it in house. All Ok so far. I took it to the Camera club along with my Godox Flash to try it out. Flash on TTL. Every shot was Perfect with the 12-40mm lens. Next test is to Put Birds in Flight on C1, Birds Perched on C2 etc. etc. You'll have to help me there blackfox. PLEASE. I have left the settings on camera as is at moment but I did switch off Wi-Fi and that Colour thing. At moment it focuses with the AEL/AFL and the shutter button. I wish I had a better memory in my head for these settings. lol Have a Good Weekend Folks

Just spent half a hour talking Dennis through setting it up properly for bird I.d which is now fingers crossed set to his C1 .. 🤬🤬🤬. The chat included some cockney phrases he has probably not heard before 🤬🤬 but I think it’s sunk in 🤔🤔
