Has anyone bought and using this 150-600 lens?? Is it any Good?? Is it worth buying?. If it is good I might buy one and use it on my Monopod and Tripod. I have a Wimberly MH-100 and the bigger one to attach lens on it.

First of all, it's not branded Olympus 😅
I tried it briefly in far from ideal conditions but I was impressed. Optically it seems to be good. The Sync IS was impressive too - I only used it hand held.
Most complaints are about its bulk, but I'd argue it's not actually excessively heavy, but it's a long and wide bodied lens, which will mean it's difficult for some to hand hold.
But considering the reach, I think it's a very attractive proposition.

If you look at my posts then you will see that I am exceptionally pleased with it.
I got it because I needed a zoom for wildlife photography = no 300mm and I could not justify the cost of the BWL.
I've used the 100-400 this week for the puffin photos as on holiday and not got the luggage space or time to go birding every day. Would the 150-600 have given bigger images? Poss yes BUT my arms would have really struggled to hand hold the weight when looking skywards for minutes at a time focusing on incoming puffins.
Hope this helps.

Dennis,
I suppose its down to how, and how often, you will use it. It's quite hefty but hand holdable as it is pretty well balanced even when at 600mm. If you haven't already, I'd recommend checking it out physically before buying.
I've got on pretty well with it since last year, mainly for aircraft stuff
My first time at RIAT - which just "happened" to coincide with a family holiday in the Cotswolds :). A thoroughly enjoyable day with lots of interesting and unusual aircraft types displayed in great weather. Mainly OM-1 with OM 150-600mm F5.0-6.3 lens with some EM1 Mk.2 & Pana/Leica 100-400mm f4-6.3. Processed
I popped over to Aberdeen Airport to get a bit of long telephoto practice on Sunday. It was a windy day with only brief spells of good light. I spent most of the time braced against the car - the Pana/Leica 100-400mm was far easier to handle than the 150-600mm in these conditions as you would expect, but I enjoyed the challenge
but it is pretty capable close in too :

THANK YOU ALL for replying to me..I have handled it at Carmarthen Cameras some weeks ago. If I buy it I will NOT be hand holding it for too long as my Arthritis won't let me.
I do have a Gimble head for my Tripod and the small side gimble for monopod. My biggest fault is, I don't use either these days so Must use one of them if I buy this lens.
I need an Excuse to spend some cash as the news suggests that Starmer the Harmer is going to tax our savings. (The Thief) If I decide to buy it, I will buy from GearClix as it is £1,530 with them.
A friend of mine has bought a few things from them in the last month or two. So just have to make up me mind soon.

I may well go for one of these next year ,I have steered clear so far but as my health has improved this year I have found I can once again carry and use superzoom lenses . Just need a similar improvement in finances now

I'm spending my cash before these nutters in government decide to tax my meagre savings. Not got much as it is but is getting close to their taxable rubbish. Let us know if you ever buy one Jeff..

Yeah will do pondering on it Dennis , having recently been playing with Nikon now with D500 plus Tamron 150-600G2 I now know I can handle the weight again .. love the versatility this kit gives me .. but in the birding world reach is everything and 1200mm reach is very tempting .. it’s the price that’s the problem at the moment plus the used market is very flat at the moment so trading in is not a option

Yes Jeff, Reach is everything in the birding world as I been finding out. Was out on Monday morning at Forest Farm Cardiff using my new small size Side Gimbal on a Mono-pod. Now as you know I don't use them or tripods, but decided to try both with the OM1 mk1 and 100-400mm lens. It was better as I did capturer my first Kingfisher in two years with one in flight. Just wish they were a bit sharper though. Will post in another thread later today for you to see. I did crop in Photoshop and use De Noise in Light room. That 150-600mm would of been just about right I think.Cheers n Beers Dennis.

Which side mounting gimble have you got Dennis? I am wondering about getting one for use with my BWL.

Hi Dennis I borrowed one from my son who was hiring it . Even my useless technical skills gave me superb shots
But I have weedy arms etc so I doubt I would be buying one. But that doesn't mean I can't hire it now and again for birds etc
Good luck with your purchase when you go for it
Photos below were with that lens
