  • Four thirds query

Can you use a MFT tc on camera then a four third adaptor or will I have to buy a four thirds t.c . .?

You can, but only with the original MMF-1, or the Panasonic DMC equivalent, though image quality might suffer, as they are not designed to work together.
The MC converter's nose won't fit in the bore of the MMF2 & 3
That said, the 4/3 lenses don't have the extra pins for communicating with the camera, so exif will be wrong, also possible image stabilisation issues.

In 4/3 protocol only one accessory was supported, so either EC converter or EX tubes, not both at the same time.
mFT doesn't have this restriction, so you can experiment a bit more.

    Just to prove it worked, I tried an EM-1 > MC-2 > MMF-1 > EC-2 > 300mm F2.8 and it did autofocus hand held, albeit slowly
IQ was nothing to write home about, but it was going dark at the time.
    Best Regards

Ah well forget the question , was just looking through e.bay for a EC-14 and quite surprised to find them all priced in excess of £150. ?? Anyway I then did a google search and found a pristine one at a trusted dealer I have used before and bought it for £60 delivery included .RESULT

Excellent, just tried the combo on an EM-1 Mk1 and it focusses fine.
Also works with mFT extension tubes in between the MM-1 converter and the body plus EC-1.4 +50mm combo, but not with the 4/3 EX-25 + EC-1.4; either/or but not both simultaneously.

Excellent choice. Mine is resident on the camera unless I use another lens, usually the Laowa 25mm x2.5 to x5. I always carry the 4/3 x2TC in my bag to use with it. I believe I have a x1.4 4/3 TC and a 25mm extension tube somewhere but have never used them.
