For no particular reason I thought I would check to see if my Viewer 2 software was up to date and discovered that version 1.31 was released today. I have installed it without any problems. I rarely use it, however, so I don't know what is different.
Thanks for the tip off.
These were the last two updates available (but I don't think they were actually available on the date indicated).
Ver. 1.3 December 1, 2011
* Support for the movie format (mov) from the latest cameras
* Added the function to upload images to Facebook.
* Added the function to upload images to Flickr.
* Added function to limit uploads to files marked for upload in the camera.
* Added "Insert Text" function to "Image Edit" window.
Ver. 1.31 March 1, 2012
* Added new Art Filter and Effect options in "RAW Development" and "Image Edit" windows.
I've just tried the art filters on an E-M5 RAW file & I can't remember if Key Line art filter was in the list before I updated (I should check these things before perform the update). Patience is needed when opening an E-M5 RAW file for it to finally show the image correctly, as it takes 20-30 seconds before the real grainy appearance to go & the proper appearance to appear.

Yes, very odd - I was using Viewer 2 yesterday at the office and I'm pretty sure it's 1.30. 1.31 is dated 1st March. This morning I got the update automatically upon firing up Viewer 2 in my laptop at home.
There is no mention of official E-M5 support.
I have asked for clarification on the E-M5 compatibility.

That's how it started for me today too. While they have allowed extra art filters to be applied to the (later) PEN's & E5 RAW files, it would be very sporting of them if that could be extended to the E30 (& E620) RAW files too.

There doesn't appear to be any difference in RAW processing of E-M5 files using 1.31 compared to 1.3.
It's strange because the E-M5 is not mentioned as supported by the version notes. But speaking to someone at Olympus Europe today, the advice is to use 1.31 for E-M5 raw files.
