  • 300mm f4...interesting tip.

Take a look at the video shown here...https://carmarthencameras.com/produc...4&_ss=e&_v=1.0

There is a short piece mid-way that mentions focus-limiting, I found it quite interesting.

User's of said lens may already know of this wheeze, if so I apologise.

Thanks Dave. If I had ever known that tip I have since forgotten it. Assigning the lens button to focus limiting is useful as it prevents you from changing the focus limiter switch and then forgetting to change it back again. The range choices are slightly different from those on the switch too. I see that Tesni appears to have taped over her switch to prevent from being moved accidentally.

The focus limiting works really well - setting it up requires more info than is available out of the camera (mkii) as you really need to see the focal distance to get the best out of it.

Hi Paul. Not sure if you're aware of the tip in my comment below?

Gary Ayton wrote an excellent guide to establishing the distance to use when setting focus limits:
      Declan

      Em1ii and 12-40 f2.8, 40-150 f2.8, 60mm macro, 25 f1.8, 45 f1.8, 75 f1.8.
      OM10 and 50mm f1.8. Panasonic GM5 and 12-32.
