Re: Olympus 300 pro observations
I haven't got the 300mm but do have the 12-100. I noticed for the first time the other day that the switch on the lens turns off all the IS and "greys" it out in the menu and SCP on the E-M1.
Now on the E-M5 mk1 this doesn't happen, you can turns of the in lens IS but still use it on the camera.
Not sure if it may have something to do with the fact that the IS becomes operative when turning the focus ring on the E-M1 but not on the E-M5 and only with a half press of the shutter button.
PS enjoy your lens. All the best

Re: Olympus 300 pro observations
I remember some information I gained if I am right? The EM1 IS is about 4 stops and when combined with the latest PRO lenses that is increased to 5 to 6 stops. But then again I can clearly remember 60 years ago but not necessarily what happened 60 seconds ago!
Kind regards mike
