Anyone know of a link to a cutaway of an E-3? I'm particularly interested in how the camera strap lugs join on to the chassis. I'm a great fan of the Y-strap, which only uses one lug. Now, on the E-510/520 I have no concerns about putting the weight of the camera and lens through one lug, but the E-3 is heavier, so I want to know if it's likely to take the load.

Re: E-3 cutaway drawing?
Stephen, why not formally ask Olympus if the E-3 strap lugs are suitable; that way if it all goes horribly wrong, you might just have some come back.

Buy me an E3, and i'll make one for you? :P
There is a picture on this page of a dismantled one, and apparently in the video there is a cross section

Re: E-3 cutaway drawing?
I just got the following response from Olympus Tech Support:-
"Dear Stephen,
As this scenario is not endorsed by the user manual, neither can we at technical support.
Thank you for your e-mail."
So now you know. Don't use your camera in any way which is not mentioned in the manual. Helpful!Stephen
