Thanks for highlighting that. It may be functional, but boy is it ugly! This gives me an idea for making my own until I can buy the HLD-6, but I will cover my grip with leather of similar grain to the fake camera one (silver model) & fit the plate for my velbon tripod as well as a loop at the lower left corner to attach a sling strap (Q-Strap or Black Rapid etc.). Little ideas breeds more ideas.
