Be careful what you wish for. My XT2 has the joystick and to me its a complete pain in the butt. Far too easily moved accidentally between shots so needs constant checking to avoid OOF shots. Disabled mine as soon as I got it. Much prefer to focus, hold, recompose, then take the shot. Been using this method for over fifty years and see no reason to change. Can see a possible use for it when using a tripod, otherwise mine stays turned off. One less annoying distraction to worry about. Regards, Ian W.
Who knows, us EM1.2 owners may get a joystick in the next FW update 😉😉

Seriously though, I believe a FW update will come later this year for the E-M1 II & hopefully with some of the AF area options but I'd probably be hoping too much for updated AF algorithms used in the E-M1X though (of course, that's not meaning AI AF).

I'd like an EM1-X but I think I'll wait until Olympus do the customary "free grip" offer
