  • Hot pixel?

I appear to have a hot pixel, which has just shown up when doing some evening shots....

How is it best to test for this and is it a return to base for fixing, or a live with it problem?

    Re: Hot pixel?

Hi Walt, most hot pixels are just stuck pixels, if you run pixel mapping on your camera should fix this. Can be found in double cog sub menu K in the main menu, this will do a pixel test then if on finding a hot or stuck pixel it will generally fix it or mask it out, camera manufacturers, would not bother replacement of a sensor unless there are a certain number of them, that would degrade an image.

    Hope this helps

      Re: Hot pixel?

There should be a function with your camera called "Pixel Mapping" or something along those lines (I only have an E600 but i presume this function should be on a OM-DE-M1)
      This may help...
