      Very interesting to see them side by side knowing that they are literally half-a-century apart. The holy trinity of Shutter speed, Aperture, and ISO, is still alive but what a difference there is inside the box of tricks!

        What a difference in size. I got the film OM1 in the early 70's and had it till the early 2000's, when I sold it.

          Got mine in about 1977, a treat after being at work for about 6 months. Still going strong.

            I got mine with a 50mm f1.4 second hand from University Cameras in Cambridge as a 21st birthday present in 1976.

            Subsequently traded in there against a newly Olympus reconditioned black OM4: I loved that camera especially because it had been heavily used (the corners were nicely brassed and it made me look like a pro photojournalist) while it had new shutter, mirror mechanism and main board, so was basically new. Why I eventually let that go I really don’t know…
