  • Ep3/ft 70-300/cdaf

Some pics today with the EP3 and FT 70-300 using CDAF trac . Pics are OOC Jpegs cropped min sharpening (as I usually use RAW so I havnt set jpeg options yet)
Shot using EVF except no 2 which I used the tap screen option.
I am pretty impressed these are nearly as good as I would get with my E3 and the same lens using CDAF. I should get better when I am more used to the camera. If you can see the screen the tap screen shutter is really impressive.
    Thanks for looking
    John

Wow! That shows how useful the ZD70-300 is & also how good the EP3 can use it (as well as how good you can use it).

        Thanks Barkley
However after posting the pics I find No. 1 and No.3 are soft compared to full res on my monitor. So I did a non male thing and read the manual which states (and please tell me if I am wrong) that the EP3 when using FT lenses in CAF and CAF with track only focus as SAF. If this is the case then the softness is explained as I achieved focus with half press then followed the target and pressed the shutter when I was ready. However pic two was taken using the touch screen and might explain why it is in sharp focus .
I must admit I normally shoot landscape moving things are not my forte.
However I can state that this camera is very usable with Ft lenses not as fast as your E5/E3 but does give me confidence that a pen type camera that will be able to use our Ft lenses is not out of the question.

Thanks Ross I am sure you would be happy to see how good the EP3 can use your 70-300 and 14-54 mk2 looks like we are not at the end of a system after all
