Test Image ... to see if I can upload

Hi folks,
Well it's been a while I know, and I'm out of touch with uploading images. This is purely a 'test image' to see if I have got it right, it seems as though my uploaded image goes straight to being a post ... is this now normal or am I doing something wrong? I would like to initially upload several ( well many actually ) images to what used to be my image gallery and then from there choose which I would like to include in a post ( or two ) showing my street photography during a recent holiday to Morocco. Any advice will be much appreciated.
Kindest regards
Simon.

OK, so I have just worked out or more accurately 'found out' that if I add a photo to the existing image within the 'media section' it appears within the post - as seen above ( image 2 ) .
Apologies if this all sounds so obvious and 'basic' it's just that I remember the method of uploading images was completely different in the past.

Welcome back Simon, good to see you here again.
Ian is the expert on all things to do with image uploads. I'm not sure, but I don't think we have personal galleries any more, we just upload directly into posts. The recommended way to do it is to use the "Upload Attachments" button below the text entry box. If you don't see it there, click on the icon with a paper clip above and to the right, that toggles it on and off. Also be aware that we have problems with uploading images at the moment, it appears to be a problem with the forum software. Ian is in contact with the suppliers to try and sort it out, it seems to be quite a knotty one!

Thank you for replying and so quickly too. Yes it's good to be back and hopefully I'll be more involved too, business takes so much of my time that I have tended to neglect my hobby and passion. Thank you for the advice, I'll try what you say now and see how I get on.
I recently spent eleven days in Morocco and had the most memorable time - what a wonderful country. I did a lot of street photography in Marrakesh, the results of which I am quite proud of and would like to show some here for genuine critique. I used the Pen-F with a Pana/Leica 15mm f1.7 - manual focus only, set focus to about eight feet and aperture of f8, Auto ISO, went 'walk about' and shot purely 'from the hip' .
Kind regards

Ok so there does seem to be a problem uploading. I failed to add a photo 'here' via an image on my desktop, however I was able to 'add' it to the initial two photo's at the start of this post/thread....???
Perhaps I need to wait until Ian has ironed out the issue.
Kind regards
Simon

Yes welcome back Simon and with some lovely images too. You seem to have managed to post some images well done but as John said Ian is wrestling with a forum image problem at the moment so you certainly picked your moment to return.

Good to be back TBH, I need to create some 'me time' and this is a good place to start.
Indeed I do seem to have picked a great time to start uploading images, ahead of well these things happen.
I was in my element 'shooting on the street' in Marrakesh and have a lot of photo's I would like to share here and for some genuine critique - good or bad.
Hopefully I will be able to start uploading soon.
Kind regards
Simon

Well done Simon. Just a couple of questions
1. Are you uploading from abroad, ie non UK. I have noticed that a couple of our overseas forumites, Blu-by-u and JoeT are successfully uploading photos with what seems to be full EXIF.
2. Your photos don't have full EXIF, soI am wondering how you process them....
Anyway, good to see your photos, start a new thread if you want a special one to be on the banner....

Marc I'm unable to upload directly from my PC to the Forum. I uploaded to another site and then downloaded them from that site back to my PC and then to this forum. Somehow during that process the file is changed and this forum will accept it. I've only done it once so not sure if it will continue to work.

No I'm back in the UK ( 40 miles from you ) now and uploaded from here.
The photo's that I will post as soon as I can ( including the three put up so far ) will have mostly been taken on my Pen-F, though some will have been taken on my iPhone. All however will have had basic editing done on my iPhone as they have been edited to make a 'Popsa book' . I needed to do the editing while I was on holiday, hence through the phone, so that I could populate the book then - I'm hopeless at doing it when I'm back due to 'catch up work commitments' . This editing on the phone includes the B&W conversions, cropping etc.
Kind regasrds
Simon
