b.i.f practice with the D500

I have to admit to liking the A/F on this D500 coupled with the tamron 150-600g2 its fast and accurate and not to heavy either .I don't seem to miss to many shots even without the bells and whistles of bird i.d ,, here's a couple from yesterdays practice 15 minute session outside the house

In spite of storm Floris ur setup seem to be working very well indeed u must be well happy with it I alway heard the D500 was the best DSLR for wildlife etc AF etc

It’s certainly producing the results seems to nail the Birds Eye’s as well ,the tamron lens helps as it’s well balanced … did need a micro adjust though

There both hand held shots , wide open at F6.3 and 450mm focal . With auto I.s.o Henry , I’m finding this D500 and lens to be every bit as accurate as the Olympus and despite it being a big lens there’s not really that much difference in use.. as I said before I bought into this to get round the high retail prices of OMS zoom lenses .. and to be totally honest I think it’s been worth doing . Whether that plays out during the winter months remains to be seen .for now I’m quite happy using both systems ..
It’s also shown up another factor the XQD cards are far far superior to SD cards in read and write capabilities.and I believe CF express are even faster
