OM Workspace - Important

I saw this too so updated anyway: in two steps as I was on vsn 2.2 so had to go to 2.2.1 before I could update to 2.3 (windows).
Further down the page the statement below the "From April 1, 2024" label, " "Firmware updates for our cameras will also be no longer available." sounds rather alarming! Any idea what that's all about?!

"Unless I am reading it incorrectly, doesn't it mean that you will not be able to update your camera firmware using Workspace versions 2.2 or earlier (win) or 2.2.1 or earlier (mac)."
That's exactly what it is saying.
Note also the requirements for OM Capture.

Somewhat disturbing piece of news. I find OM Workspace most useful for transferring my images to the PC. I really like the ability to have all the files from the card copied to separate sub-folders named by the date taken. I also use it for doing initial culling and FW updating. I noticed that DVRUpdater is also not going to get any newer releases, I use it for my recorder FW updates.
It would be nice to get some idea of what, if anything, is planned for the future.Gerry

I read this as OM workspace 2.3 is the most up to date version.
I've just updated to 2.2.1 but no sign of 2.3? I was out of the country at the time and cannot recall seeing anywhere notification.
OM Capture for tethered work should be 3.1
OMDVR Updater (whatever that is) should be 2.0.1
It does need clarification.Duncan

Thanks for the heads up.
I’m reading it as their back end servers won’t support updating the older versions after April 1st. From an IT perspective it can be a pain to support a trail of old versions of software to be honest. You can always go to the website and download the latest version and install it anyway.
I find the OM WS update a bit bizarre as first you have to update the updater program and then the updater program updates the main application. It always confuses me! With something like Affiinity Photo the main application just updates itself and reloads.
