    Re: Hello All

    Welcome to the group.

Lurk all you want, but what this group really likes is pictures so I hope you'll post some, you've certainly got a good location.

It's a good group, there's quite a lot of varied expertise and a lot of enthusiasm.

Not sure I'd have chosen your username, but I don't believe it anyway.

Welcome along.. This is a nice friendly forum, and a great place to ask questions or show your pictures.

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

Welcome Kevin, there are many lurkers in the group, I for one. I have a motto, Lurk and Learn and I'm certainly learning. Eventually, after lurking a while, I am sure you will wish to change your username.

Looking forward to seeing photos taken in your area.

        Best wishes

          Welcome indeed

Living in carnforth you're in the right place to have an interest in Railways!

looking forwards to seeing your "brief encounters" behind a lens

Maybe in reverence to the station cafe you could eventually become buttered_and_toasted

Hi Kevin, your mention of a 35mm Halina in the 70's ((early 70's I would imagine), I moved onto a Practika SLR , then a Konica FS1) brought the memories flooding back.

I am also into computers, Railways, steam, anything mechanical etc.
Also used to be into Ham radio (ex callsign G4GPF).

Im just a tad older with 3 kids, no grandkids yet (that we know of)
            and a cat (Beth).

The 4/3rds community is a great place, with some (very) knowledgable and friendly people.

A warm welcome from all of us.
