  • Hello from Massachusetts!

After skulking around for some time, I've decided to join the group. I realize this is a UK-centric forum, but as a newcomer to four-thirds and micro four thirds, there really isn't an equivalent elsewhere where I can learn so much about my E-500 and E-PL1. In technology-years, they're both ancient, but suit me beautifully. Bought the former brand new (quite a find!) two months ago and the latter last year. Got two lenses for each body, a speedlight and a couple of umbrellas. All I need is some opportunity and nerve to get out there and practice the art. As my confidence grows, I hope to share my pictures with this fun and friendly bunch. The New England countryside is all I can offer, I'm afraid...

Welcome Jay glad you decided to get involved. Nothing wrong with New England scenery especially in Autumn or rather Fall. Love to see some shots.

The New England countryside sounds pretty good to me!
Don't worry about not being a UK-er, there are plenty of us "foreigners" here! We may even mount a coup one day!
Start posting, there is plenty of help and friendship on this site.

I lived in Ipswich, MA for 3 years in the late 90's. MA is a fantastic place - hugely under-appreciated by the Brits IMHO. Awareness usually extends to fall foliage and Cape Cod - but there's so much more. The coastline is full of stunning scenery and history.

Here's a couple of shots I took whilst back there for a holiday a couple of years ago (sorry, taken with Canon gear - oh the shame!).

I'm afraid that all I know about Massachusetts is that it's a place where you can't chop your Momma up!
