  • Hello from snowy Guelph, Ontario, Canada!

I’ve been following some posts here and am pleased to find a community of OM users. Having lived int he UK for three years, I ‘get’ what’s going with all of you. Can't say that about the folks south of our border!! But no politics!!

While many of you are enjoying snowdrops and winter aconites, we’re still in snow. Here’s a photo from the other day—winter at its (almost) best. We had above freezing temps the day before this photo was made causing the dimpling int he snow. This was made to support an article I’m working on comparing 20mp, HHHR 50mp, TripodHR 80mp, annd up-sizing using Topaz and ON1. I’ll let you know when it’s done.

    Cheers,

    Terry

PS—Is it just me or is there a problem when using iPad adding a Title and other info within the ‘Add Photo’ pop-up? Worked fine when I switched to my laptop.

We love insights and images from all around the world. Canada is an incredible places and I've not yet visited, much to my shame.

We can help you with posting photos here, it's not as intuitive as I'd like, sorry.

Try to use the upload attachments method.

    Cheers,

Welcome to the forum. I would love to have that snow.

LadyG, I have to save up for a few years to have a few days holiday in the snow. I would welcome it.

In that case, good luck. Snow in the UK nowadays is much more of a rare event: we've probably had about 3 days so far this winter. More could be possible this weekend, but it will probably fall as sleet.

Funnily enough, when I lived in Malawi I didn't miss the cold - but I really wasn't keen on the humidity during the monsoon...

Yes another welcome. Snow is nice for a day, its pretty at first, then a nuisance. Here in UK, we can't cope with it for long...

Another warm welcome from the other side of the world, where we have what must be the perfect climate for 9 months of the year. Then we have summer! Hot, humid and sticky, with the occasional pleasant stretches.

I like seeing other peoples' snow photos from the warm and sunny weather of Brisbane. Please keep them coming.
