Chelmsford Photo Marathon

Anyone going to the Chelmsford Photo Marathon on this coming Saturday?

It is a competition with a difference, 12 subjects in 6 hours, you start with a clean card in camera, which is checked before the off, then you are given 12 subjects to photograph between 10am and 2pm. Your card will be checked, 12 images only, jpegs, no editing, every photo will be printed and put on exhibition in July.
I am going but it would be nice to meet up with some from the forum.

They run one in Cardiff, as well as lots of other places I guess. Never entered but I know people who take part regularly. Seems like great fun. Thinking on your feet comes to mind.......

Wow - quite a challenge. Hope the shutter finger doesn't slip!

We have a couple of annual events along the same lines in our camera club: one where you've got around 8 hours in one place to provide images that illustrate 5 topics and you have 7 days to process and submit them; and then another where you have 48h to take, process and submit 5 subjects taken wherever you like. In both cases you only get to hear the subjects at 00.01am on the first morning.
The first one favours the photoshop brigade, whereas the second is more like a reportage challenge, and I did a lot better in that!

Good luck: it would be interesting to see your images and hear your thoughts on how it all went. We're always looking for more club activity ideas.
