Jacquie and I are part-contributors to the publication of a new photography book in conjunction with The Gentle Author, creator of the Spitalfields Life daily blog. 'Spitalfields Nippers' is a series of images taken by Horace Warner in the early 20th century and until recently, only known about by members of Horace's family. The discovery of the photographs has been likend to the unearthing of those taken by Vivien Maier, the nanny who is now widely recognised as ranking among the very best of documentary photographers. The book is being launched at the end of October and there will be a presentation given by The Gentle Author on 4 November 2014 at the Bishopsgate Institute.
