  • eGroup Meetup London Meet ,September?

I know it's a long way off but I thought I'd post this for people to get an early sight.

We had a chat at the Hatfield Forest meet yesterday and came up with this idea.
Meet around the St Pancras area and have a walk through the station and take some pictures of the building.
After that a walk up the Regents canal to Camden lock and market which has plenty of colourful photo opportunities.
Also in the St Pancras area there is the London canal museum, which is somewhere I've always ment to go and on the way up the canal is Camley street local nature reserve which I have visited and is worth a look.

London Canal Museum, the London waterways museum telling the story of canals, boats, the ice trade, and ice cream. The only London Museum of inland waterways.

Plenty of good and diverse food stalls in Camden market for lunch. If anyones got the energy after that you can go on along the Regents canal past the Zoo and on to Paddington Basin.
I was looking at either Saturday the 10th of Sep or Saturday the 17th of Sep.

    Have a think about it.
    All the best

    Hi Andy,

I'm up for it and either of those dates will suite me.

        Very interested in this ,
as I've had to miss out on all the others so far this year

I'm up for this in principle. However, 17th September is the 'Open House' architecture weekend, so it wouldn't be a good date for me.

What a great idea, it would be great to meet up again with some forum members. I will try to keep the date free.

            Cheers

                  Re: London Meet ,September?

Sounds like a great option for my first meet, subject managerial approval!

I am on holiday the week between the two suggested dates so hopefully will be back in time, however I am not always privy to the finer details of my holidays.

This seems an interesting day out. It good of you to take the time to arrange such things Andy. If its the 10th then its a maybe at the moment (babysitting grandson) the 17th is out for me. I'll keep an eye on developments and let you know nearer time if that's alright.

Ok as we're getting closer to September I thought I'd bump this to try to get some firm numbers.
I cannot make the 17th as I'll be transporting my daughter back to uni so it looks like the 10th.
I was around this area a few days ago and may add St Pancras old church and garden which was rather nice.
I'll do another visit to try and find a cafe to meet in for breakfast.

Let me know if your coming.
