  • Site problems - apologies and explanation

I'm very sorry if the e-group site outage between approximately 5:15 AM and 10:30AM GMT inconvenienced you.

A routine software upgrade at the server level didn't go as planned and the site became disconnected from a key sql database.

Hopefully the problem has been fixed and we're back to normal operation!

Actually, we do seem to have some intermittent lingering problems, but nothing serious. If you get a database error message, just refresh the page and all should be OK.

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

No E-Group is as significant as no Today Program on Radio 4.

It is the final confirmation to the subs lying deep in the oceans that they are to release the missiles <g>
