  • Photo Show Camera Cleaning Warning

Not a problem really unless you are a Muppet like me. Just a warning to be careful if you ask them to update your firmware. I did and forgot that it was likely to reset all my settings so I've just taken some of the worst shots ever with my new lens! it was a bit of a shock until I realised what I'd done phew.

Re: Photo Show Camera Cleaning Warning

I keep my firmware up to date so fingers crossed they won't do anything. As an aside, do they go through the regular download or flash from an SD card? I believe that this IS possible with Olympus cameras as there is a website that hosts the zips.

They ask if you want updating, and warn that all settings are wiped if you do. I asked both bodies to be left, and they were.

Re: Photo Show Camera Cleaning Warning

I was asked that too yesterday. As I haven't updated to the latest FW I went for it. Didn't have many settings saved so not really bothered about that. Haven't checked that they actually did the update yet though......
There wasn't a queue on Sunday but after dropping my EM1.2 off on the Oly stand at about 10-50 when we arrived, I didn't get it back until about 3-50. One of my fellow club members dropped her EM5 off at about the same time and only collected it just before the coach pulled up to take us all back to south Wales at about 4-30. Those two technicians from Portugal were working their socks off yesterday, that's for sure!
