It would appear my submission doesn't appear?

        Any particular reason why?

It was submitted in time, on Saturday if I recall correctly.

No problem if it has gone missing.

October 2022 Photographic Challenge results: Golden Hour

1st Scottwin - Sunset at Cruden Bay in early January - 10 Votes

              2nd Lez325 - Golden Hour as the sun rises - 9 votes

              3rd alfbranch - Around sunrise 7 votes

Well done Scott, a superb beach setting with the sun going down, A nice range of colours Scott. A deserved win. 👍

Close on Scott's heels in 2nd place, Les with an early morning photo over the marshes. The light is beautiful, and the birds add/make to the scene.

alfbranch, in 3rd place, has submitted his lovely Lake District sunrise, with those rose-coloured clouds, twice! Lovely reflections. Well done Alf.

So Congratulations to these winning submissions, points go towards the E-Group photographer of the year (2022)

In 4th place, Luv2shoot - The World Needs More Hammocks, is dead right. What could be better than lying in that hammock, with a G+T. The sparkle in the sun is lovely. A cracker Lorell..:-))

In 5th place equal, PDK42 - The Cliff, 090657 - Golden Leeds, rustyarrow - East Anglian, Tomryan99 - Evening light in Glen Lyon, Perthshire. October 2022, and richard with olympus - Balancing Stones on Challaborough Beach, South Devon, (phew) all with 4 votes. in PDK42's cliff, the sky behind is coloured somewhere between threatening and cool. The guy on the cliff top adds interest, and hope he stayed there! 090657's Golden Leeds is full of very sharp detail and colours. So interesting to look at. rustyarrow's flooded fields, they have excellent composition, and colours to die for. Tomryan99's submission was a personal favourite, beautiful scene and light. richard of Olympus's Balancing Stones, with the sun reflecting in the sea had interest and colour. A cluster of great photos.....

In 6th place equal, Paul_100A - Harvesting, TravelingChick - Golden Fog, and AJW - Early morning during lockdown, all with three votes. Paul_100a was brave to photo the sun directly, but it made a good contra jour shot of the harvester. TravelingChick's golden fog is sublime. excellent photo. And AJW's dandelion's outline against the sun certainly has interest and colour. I must apologize to Andy, I missed his submission and had to add it after voting began. Sorry Andy, you may well have taken more votes.

However...In 7th place equal with 2 votes each, LaserDavid - Lake Titicaca at sunrise, blu-by-u - As disturbance comes, Shaw - From Loch Portain, North Uist, Outer Hebrides and IainMacd - Just after sunrise...Laserdavid scene at sunrise has the most beautiful golden colours. Heard of this lake, but was unsure if it was a real place. Titicaca rolls off the tongue..😊 Blu-by-u's entry at sunrise I'm guessing, has a lake without a ripple. A calming scene. Shaw's North Uist photo has the sun behind clouds, lighting up a gorgeous landscape. I worked there years ago. A lovely place for certain. IainMacD's, an early riser, lighthouse just after sunrise has composition and lovely warm colours.

in 8th place equal, with a single vote (Single malt is the best), Downwind Dec - September sails are the best (Oranmore 09/22), MJ224 - Coming to an end...., wornish - Evening - the end of the day, stoates - Golden at Suilven and wanderer - Beinn Dorain and the Black Mount. Downwind Dec's sailing photo has sun and composition in good quantity. The cat is sailing into the wind, nice memories. MJ224 had the advantage of seeing this cracking sunset almost every night from halfway up a volcano in Hawaii. wornish's photo shows the evening sun setting behind the clouds, a rich and beautiful scene. Well done Dave. stoates submission has sea, mountains and sky. A classic combination. Serene sky colours..:-) Wanderer showed us a snowcapped mountain in the mid-ground with mountains in the background. A lovely blue sky with a shady foreground, setting off the mountains just right.

Runners up this month include, shakyHands - Indian Ocean near Broome, griffljg - North Shore, Hamilton, Brisbane as the sun was setting, raichea -Dusk approaching at Wilton Windmill, Tordan58 - Golden morning over Balinese sea, and last but not least OM User - Going Home.. shakyHands showed us the sea, and a beautiful coloured sky behind. Reminds me of the Navy song, "Joined the Navy to see the world, but what did we see, we saw the sea.." Forgive me.. griffljg's North Shore shot shows excellent composition and interest. . raichea' windmill with the sun sparkling behind is a lovely photo, and deserved a vote or two. Tordan58's sailing scene with a glorious golden sky, again missed the votes, alas we only have three. But a lovely photo despite. OM Users BIF shows a lone bird on its way to rest for the night. Nice sky Jeremy, a vote was missed here. All the runners-up deserved votes, but.....:-)

Another popular Challenge, with 26 entries, 74 votes, and 26 individual voters.

Thanks for taking part, and supporting the E-Group forum...

                  Congratulations to the winners.

You ,@MJ224, got it right. It's taken in Chini lake. The lake is pretty still in the early morning and the tranquillity is broken by either the morning boats that crisscross the lakes between the villages or the wind as in this case.

I noticed I have not kept the bottom clean for a while.
