MJ224 Hmmm, This doesn't work for me sorry.
My post #8 was changed by me and it certainly isn't a daffodil!
Seems I got a vote for it as well.
I don't know what I am voting for as I can't see/review them on this thread, perhaps it's just me so ignore this post if that's the case.

Sorry Dave, I made up the list a while ago as they were entered. Anyway sorted now...
To pick your best three, I guess you have to go through the submissions, and pick them by #tag (on the top left) or by name, then move to this voting thread. Alas the system will only allow a poll at the beginning of the thread.
The link to the Challenge is at the top of the thread, and vice versa. The link to this voting page is at the start and end of the Challenge thread.
If this a major problem we will have to review the method............
All opinions appreciated..:-)

I’m with Dave on this. I know it’s an abuse of the “Like” system as it was, but at least you could see what you were voting for much more easily. This is a bit too detached. Sorry Mark, I know you’ve put a lot of effort in, but my vote (!) is to keep the old system. Might it be possible to add a variable or multiple “Like”? I know some forums do this.

All done, I just made a provisional shortlist of potentials, rechecked, ended up with a second shortlist and then my final 3.
IMHO I thought the quality was very high/

Well, I managed it. I found it harder than the old system with "Likes" but I can see it has advantages and dare say we'll get used to it. I got a bit confused with at least one of the titles being changed.
Just a question about the entries though - we seem to have two from Our Glorious Leader. No. 6 - the daffodils - and 15 - Crocus - both seem to be credited to Ian unless I am not seeing something correctly!

I'd suggest sticking with the old system too. This would work better if there were thumbnail images of each entry in the poll. Think I'd still prefer the old system though, sorry Mark.

I accept your POV Phill, thanks for that. We are running the new system for a month or two with some modifications....I will be making the whole Months Challenge into one thread...rather than two.
What I failed to say in the original instructions, is that there is a #tag number inserted by myself on the top left of the posting. I now realise this may cause confusion with the other #tag on the right which numbers the posts in the thread. OK if there are no comments, otherwise confusing....
It all started as there were some great photos with no "Likes", thus the feeling was that these entries were ignored. Now you can "Like" a photo, even if you don't vote for it.....I hope we all don't go down the "woke" route...

22 votes so far, but room for a couple more before Friday's results.....
3 votes each, don't vote for you own, as it brings very bad luck, and if you did not submit, please still vote...
Happy Easter all...

The poll will close at midnight automatically. With 24 votes, I don't think there are many to come, but just in case.....................................:-)

March 22 Monthly Challenge Results:: Late Winter/Early Spring Flowers.
1st........PDK42.................Hawthorn Blossom................12 votes
2nd........Wanderer...........After the Storm.......................11 votes
3rd........Griffig.................Japanese Cherry Blossom.......6 votes
Congratulations to PDK42, for a close called win with his exceptional Hawthorn Blossom photo.
Closely on Paul's heels was Wanderer, with a lovely coloured and wet flower, crocus I think. Well done Duncan.
In 3rd place Griffig came in from Down Under with his Japanese Cherry Blossom, a lovely classic pink blossom. Thanks Laurence.
Well done all three, congratulations to all.
In 4th place equal, we have TravelingChick, Alzbiff, JohnGG and Luv2shoot. 5 votes each. Well done to all, especially our Atlantic cousins..
In 5th place equal, Richard of Olympus and daveben. 4 votes. Beautiful colours Richard..
Following on, with 3 votes each, Tomryan99, Walti, and Wornish. Twisted I think Paul! Dave's "Newly Opened" was a stunner.
Next, with 2 votes each, IainMacD and OM User. Your flowers performed well Jeremy. Iain's Crocus colours were sublime.
Nearing the end, Mj224, 090657, and Ian all collected a single vote. Not to be sniffed at...
Followers up include Blu-bu-u and Dennis Russ. Both with good submissions. Well done. Henry's hopes of being the only submission were dashed. Dennis's heart was definitely in his submission.
The new voting system confused a few, not least myself with submission changes Apologies for that, I will do better next time. The Poll and Submissions will be on the same page in future.
A successful Challenge despite the changes, we had 20 submissions, 25 individual voters, and 75 votes in all.
Thanks to all for submissions, keep them coming...:-)
