  • Which one (if either)of these work best ?

    Trying to decide if this stands up on it's own in colour or if the B&W treatment suits it better.All c&c welcome obviously

    I like the way the second one is going in terms of tone, but you have managed lose some highlight detail in the process. If you can fix that, the second will be special while the original, in relative terms, will seem more like a snapshot.

      Cheers Ian thats the way I'm leaning.Used Nik software for the conversion not to familiar with it yet so will try again.

        I'd also straighten the vertical door frame, theres lots of potential there for a good b&w conversion, though the tones look a little flat to me in your conversion, it need a little more contrast.

        Also you need to feather the burning in a little more that you did on the door to emphasise the cat. Just my opinion and has Ian says your heading in the right direction.

          I agree with both Ian and Paul's comments. I do like the creamy look of the cat's fur.

            I'd like to concentrate on the cat, and those pale pastel colours are nice - if you like that girly sort of stuff.
