Hi Terry,
I rated and commented on the second in your gallery. Well done. Graydon

Re: Take One!_HDR
Terry, it was just a suggestion - I prefer the colour too! That said how did you convert to B&W? Did you know quite a difference can be achieved using channels instead of just desaturating the image? I'm still learning but if you didn't know you may be interested in trying this out.
I checked out the web site, thanks for the link, and they have a fantastic gallery. I wondered why they were all in B&W and then I noticed the dates on the photos
Kind regards
Graydon

The tramway museum is somewhere I'd recommend. (though I havent been in more than 5 years now) Its a great day out with a chance to ride on some historic vehicles.Tracey Jones
Its a shame that humans dont come with autofocus, like cameras do!

I checked out Channels and although the Blue gave a reasonable image I got a better one by cheating.
Corel Pant Shop Pro has some "Old Time" presets and I used the Platinum one.
Once again thanks for all the input, it is very useful.
Also, with regard to the museum if you are a tax payer and allow them to claim back the tax from your initial entry fee the resulting ticket allows you entry (at no extra charge) for the next 12 months. I don't know if the offer is still applicable but it was in early October
