  • Billingshurst visit

We spent the (wet) day visiting our friends in Billingshurst, and here a two from his church there.

This first attempts illustrate the inside/outside contrast on a cold wet sunday morning

And I spotted this lone candle in the corner after the service

All that remains of the outer wooden gate

    How did I do?

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

Well, on stories - others may comment on picture quality.

I like the idea of 'church as refuge / sanctuary' as a storyline. A solitary candle or other offering also has appeal. Hmnnnn... food for thought.

1'st one - love the warmth of the stone, great texture. But the outside is too blown and harsh.

2'nd one - lovely simple image - great shot.

3'rd - great texture on the 'gate' and handle - for me the oof area is too large. Not sure how to overcome that as the background looks quite 'busy' with graves.
