  • Sunflower

This was the only sunflower in my garden. I could never get rid of the insects. So here it is, insects and all.

    Re: Sunflower

This really is very good and I like it a lot. It has a "Graphic" quality that could do well as an advert.

Can you tell us more about how you went about getting it to look like this?

      Re: Sunflower

I agree with Graham - very much poster art with that nicely positioned insect on the petal.

The insect actually in the flower only detracts a little.

      Nice crop/composition.

        Hi Malcolm,

Lovely shot so crisp and clean.
The insects add reality for me.

        Regards

          That's beautiful.

The picture is so bright and light, summery, and so clear too.

I like the crop too, and I think having the flies makes it a bit unusual

To me its a well seen piccy, the insect makes the contrast and a better picture with it in.

Exactly - hardly noticed the second one - Very Nice - I'm jealous

The small dot on one of the lower petals is the only think that detracts my eye

                Re: Sunflower

Another sunflower shot - it's been done sooooo many times before

But wait a minute - this one is different! Great composition , yes - but what I think really does it is the dreamy, high key look of the petals against the white background.

Someone mentioned an advert. Yes, I can visualize it used with this sort of thing......

Only the flakiest, crumbliest chocolate...... tastes like chocolate never tasted before.

Anyone else remember that? Or am I the only chocoholic?

Nice crop and well exposed. It's clear why it is called a Sunflower!

                      Cheers,
