I have struggled on how to say this but here goes I hope its not too harsh.
The conversion to B&W is fine IMO as far as the colour version goes. I would increase the contrast a little to get the picture to show through. If you look at a histogram of the shot you will see it does not extend to have full blacks of pure whites.
The shot on the other hand is not great but I wasn't there and do not know the circumstances. I presume it is very difficult to get a good angle on this to frame it well.
Or was it taken from a bus?

I have photomerged your two shots posted converted them both to B&W adjusted the perspective cropped it and then increased the contrast what do you think?

Your cc is appreciated and not harsh at all. I appreciate honest comment.
It was probably a poor choice of subject in the first place.
Being on a side alley wall it was hard to get a decent angle on the mural,
and there was a modern car in the foreground that I felt I had to crop out.
However, poor shot or not, I like what you have done with it so thank you again.
I will have another play myself, for practice.Comment
