Re: Honey and George
Of the two I definitely prefer the first. The lighting is softer although perhaps a little direct?? hence lighting up the nostrils. Great detail though but probably prefer the 2cd background or possibly a neutral alternative.
Don't listen to me though as I prefer the opinions of others more qualified than myself

Re: Honey and George
Greg I am sure these are outside my comfort zone too.
The softer lighting on the first shot leads to better detail and I prefer the feel of the shot.OMD E-M1ii MMF3 8-25 f4 Pro 40-150 f2.8 pro MC-14 12-40 pro 14-42 EZ 9-18 f4.0 -5.6 40 -150f4-f5.6 R Laowa 50mm f2.8 macro Sigma 105 f2.8 macro Holga 60mm plastic Holga pinhole lens lens and an OM2sp

Re: Honey and George
I too prefer the first. The second has a distracting background. BTW i've been out with worse looking women than Honey!Stephen

Re: Honey and George
The second looks as if it is a "scrapbooked" image

Re: Honey and George
Cute looking dog and well taken now this may be just me but the post processing just does not do it for me as it just makes the dogs head appear to be floating in a void with nothing to anchor it. It would have been better to leave some of his lower body in the image.Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

Re: Honey and George
Full marks for trying something different and probably achieving what you had in mind.
To my personal taste I find the outcome too fussy and cutesy if that makes sense. However that is just my own take on it as I prefer a simpler view of things..
cheers
hecI've worked hard to be this grumpy. It hasn't been easy at times but it's worth it.
