Posting it in the gallery makes viewing it easier.

The light is good which as real start In my opinion the exposure is good (I presume you wanted silhouettes) the image is sloping and needs rotate clockwise a little (as is often the case for many of us)
Keep at it and show us more. Are you happy with it?

Thanks alfbranch for the feedback.yes i did intentionally put silhouettes in the image it was one of the things that attracted me too it.i will take your advice on board.overall yes im happy with it.i actually took another that included an island to the right hand side of the image and thought that was going to be the better picture, but when transferred to the computer i thought this one was the best.

Good first entry, and lovely colour too. If you look at the lights closely, you can see how the camera moved whilst you were taking the shot, this is not a critism in any way, but it illustrates the need to keep the camera completely still when using slow shutter speeds.

          What equipment did you use?

Thanks Imageryone I don't take it as criticism its good advice that will help me improve.I bought a E520 off this site three weeks ago so I was using that with the 14-42mm kit lens.

If night shots are what you like to take, then the next thing is a tripod. It doesn't have to be new, or expensive, as long as it is sturdy. makes a world of difference.
