I went to the beach this morning to take some shots

This guy seem to think I was taking too long.

He he, I like the model in No 2, but No 1 is the shot - very dynamic!

Nice shots....adding a Spaniel always enhances an image to me.
I would suggest boosting the shadows a bit perhaps.
The horizon at half height really works in No 1

Really like the first shot. I can imagine Paddy does get rather impatient!

The Springer does it! The first shop is superb with a definite promise of something (don't know what) in that sky. I'd like to see a little more detail in the waves and the rocks to bring more balance.

            Thanks for the comments guys.
Getting more detail out of the waves is difficult as they were taken early morning light lighting the clouds but not the sea that much to start with with due the hill behind the camera view.

Here are some more what do you think of them

Parton beach in the morning 23-11-12 no3 by alf.branch, on Flickr

This was taken early before the sun came up properly hence the shutter speed being long no filter used on any of the shots.

I agree with Brian, first shot 2nd set excellent. The 2nd shot just looks a wee bit 'cold' to me.

The last shot was taken before the sun came up and the light was very cool and my attempts to adjust it were less pleasing for me han this one.

I really like the first one of the four (all the better for that little hint of the Galloway coast on the horizon!) and the third one with the ruined building is a real peach, sharp front to back, colours and lighting are wonderful. But the spaniel wins paws down - I just hope he's signed that model release form...

A nice set although I have agree the third stands out. I can imagine the springer thinking you done yet I want to play!
