  • Tobermory Harbour

Came out of a restaurant to be greeted by this amazing light.

    ER5 1/4 sec, f11 12-60mm lens @36mm, 100 iso, tripod. Hardly touched in Lightroom.

That's a beautiful shot, very atmospheric.
I'm going there next Saturday, followed by a boat trip to Treshnish on Sunday to see the puffins.

I bet you're glad you had a camera! The only suggestion I'd have for this one is to see if the half boat on the right can be removed. I also looked at cropping so the horizon would be more off centre, but I really like the light in the upper part of the sky as well. What gorgeous colours!

        Needs a slight clockwise rotation.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

Beautiful light indeed! It doesn't matter that the horizon is roughly in the centre; crop the lighter band of sky off the top and you kill the image stone dead, crop the bottom and you lcut off the reflected masts. It's fine just as it is, but as David said it might need straightening a little.

Wonderful light, I feel very envious.

Your image has captured the still calm atmosphere and that beautiful light so well.
With a slight tweak of the horizon (as others have suggested) you would be all set.
I would have loved to have taken it
