The vehicle you refer to is the Volvo P1800. You are correct, it is a beautiful car.Originally posted by 090657 View PostThe Volvo is one of the most stunning looking cars ever made in my opinion. P1880?

Thanks for that Ron. I struggle to pick a favourite from all the old ones, not just these but if I was pushed, the Jaguar XK is probably my all-time "bestie".Originally posted by Olybirder View PostSome superb looking cars there. That Jag XK roadster is beautiful but the amazing red Ford Capri still looks like something that landed in the showrooms from outer space. A great post.

Hi Ron,Originally posted by Walti View PostWhat is 372 FLV? Can’t remember ever seeing one of those!
I presume the Alpine is the regular not the Tiger version?
I loved the 2 door coupe version of the Rover too Bonkers car!
372 FLV is a Borgward........I know, I've no idea either, a German car apparently but looks decidedly American. The Alpine is a Harrington Alpine and as far as I know is not the Tiger version.

The Borgward Isabella was very popular in South Africa when I was a little kid (before I was 10, but I was always a car nut). It was a German car. But I seem to remember that we only got a 4 door version. It had a reputation of having decent performance and was very reliable. There were many unhappy people when they went broke.
Edit: Just done a re-check. There wasn't a 4 door version. I must have remember the standard sedan 2 door version.

What a wonderful selection of motors, really nicely shot too. Amazingly I actually owned one of them once. I briefly had a red Triumph Stag many years ago. Lovely car wish I'd got it now, although I don't miss the repair bills! If that Volvo is the one the Saint used to drive I always wanted one of them but it was way out of my league. Were they all for sale?

Thanks for your comments Phill. I have a photo of the car the Saint drove, in white, but it wasnt this one. Some of these cars were for sale and some through auction on the day. A tad over my meagre budget though.Originally posted by Phill D View PostWhat a wonderful selection of motors, really nicely shot too. Amazingly I actually owned one of them once.
