Porto - Streets

Spent a lovely week in Porto in September. The place was a photographer's dream to be fair - tiles, art, bonkersness (in a good way!), but I've restricted this to pictures on and of the streets/buildings.

yes, it was - so much to see and do, lots of lovely food, we absolutely fell in love with the place.

Lovely city, Porto. Although it wasn't quite so lovely when I was there - early Feb, cold, windy, and absolutely bucketing down! The camera might have been weatherproof but the photographer wasn't

Super set, even though I lived in France for nearly 20 years Portugal is my favourite Country.

Thanks for the comments. When I look at the rooftops and the cathedral ones on here, there seems to be a bit of a pattern in the skies. Anyone else seeing it? Could it be something to do with overcooking the post-processing?



Porto has 6 bridges, this is the Ponte Luis I, a double-decker affair.

The skies you mention do look a bit "grainy" to me - almost like film. I wonder if somewhere between your camera and my screen there is a bit too much sharpening creeping in. I didn't notice it until you mentioned it.

That might be it - I use Affinity Photo and on some of them I used the tone mapping function, I like the detail it can bring out but it has downsides too. If I get a minute I might reload the SOOC to compare.
