First visit to Kanda Myojin shrine this year.

Happy New Year, everyone, even though it is late.

On 3 January, I visited Kanda Myojin in Akihabara, Tokyo.
The photo is subtle because there were so many people visiting the shrine that I could not move freely, but I hope you can feel the atmosphere of the Japanese New Year, even if only a little.

I wish the participants in this forum good health from Japan.

It’s great to see photos of different cultures. I think given the crowds you managed to give us flavour of the celebrations. I would love to see some without the crowds “crowding” you😀

Thank you TakaPyon, best wishes to you too for the new year. I'll second what ronidog said - presumably if it is a shrine you are supposed to contemplate and reflect, which must be difficult with such crowds!
