PhotoGeo Trip Down East (Canada)

Some of you have asked for updates about the trip—here is the first:
My friend Dan and I are enjoying a 12-day photo trip down East (in Canada), exploring regions like the Eastern Townships, Charlevoix, Saguenay, and Gaspé, in Québec and Kouchibouguac National Park in New Brunswick before finishing in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia—all while trying to avoid the haze from recent wildfires out west. We focus on landscapes, cultural sites, and photography techniques, sharing insights and adapting our plans as needed amid challenging conditions during our journey through Eastern Canada. Finally home from being a month away. Part 6, and the last of my PhotoGeo Trip Down East posts is now live with photos from the Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick including Hopewell Rocks and Fundy National Park. The last two days of photography, one of which was Canada Day, were two of the best days I’ve had in all the 50 years I’ve used a camera.

Suffice it to say that even after pushing the OM-1 to the limit on this trip with high ISO, LiveCmp, LiveND, HHHR and TripodHR, I am still loving photographing with it. Of all the many camera systems I’ve owned and used over my many decades of casual and professional photography, OM is still the most creative, producing results better than I could ever achieve with my 35mm sensor Nikon or even my old 4x5.

I took a look at your blog and there are certainly some interesting pictures and some fascinating places on the posts

We had hoped to visit Canada this year (from Vancouver to Calgary via Field, Banff, Jasper and then Drumheller) but we probably left it a bit late so found accomodation hard to find in some of the smaller places that a pair of geologists wanted to visit so we have put it off until next year when I hope to be better planned

Sounds like you have a great trip planned. With so many Canadians NOT travelling to the USA this year, many have opted to stay in Canada causing accommodations to fill much faster than usual.
