I could not think of a more imaginative title! Retired musical luminary, Noel Tredinnick, has strong ties with our corner of rural France as he holidays here a lot. He's retireed now, but he was professor at the at Guildhall School of Music & Drama, specialising in classical organ music, as well as being a composer and musical arranger. This was the second (free) concert of his we have had the privilege of attending in small neighbouring town of Rouillé, in the protestant temple, there. Singing was by Léonitine mezzo soprano Maridat-Zimmerlin and her aunt, Lorraine Prigent. Léontine is tha niece of one of our great friends and neighbours in the hamlet. The concert was a wonderful blend of classical Vivalid, Fauré, Handel, and Rossini, some traditional French songs, as well as songs from Cats, and even the Sound of Music. Noel played on both an electric piano and the temple organ. Léontine is an up and coming classical singer and just finishing her second Masters at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Chant et de Danse de Paris.
