I was told that our local Thin Lizzy tribute band had a gig last weekend but at a new venue - unfortunately the usual one (the King Billy, which I visited earlier in the year) has closed again. This time the landlord has done a runner and allegedly not paid bills - bands as well as brewery, including the band that we'd gone to see and who had played at the Billy multiple times.
Anyway, this left Johnny the Fox (Thin Lizzy Aficionados) to give them their full name scrambling around to find a venue with only a week to go. The last time I'd been past the pub they chose it was called the Rifle Butt and was, shall we say, a little on the rough side. It's now called The Hart and has been spruced up, nicely done too. The gig was held in their restaurant/conservatory and the only lighting was one 4-bar that the bassist brought so I knew it was going to be a challenge for the OM-5. All taken with either the 14-50 f2.8 pro or the Panasonic f1.7 25mm.

This was the only shot of the drummer that I got inside - he was pretty hidden behind his 3-cymbal kit.

No matter what I tried, David the singer was badly lit the whole night so mono it was...

This drummer shot was taken through the window - a second attempt, the first time I kept catching my backlit shadow!
And I video-d the final song of the night (it's always the same - I've got multiple versions of this, with various different members). That night the original singer had come home from Co Wexford, and we had a new drummer (hence the slightly more prominent logo, sorry!) At 19, I think he was very good. You'll also see the light that I had to cope with!
