That looks great Ian. My mate Jim got a few of her too yesterday.

I got a few of her but didn't keep them - she had a unicorn for company yesterday and it was like a bad lighting man at a gig, blue, red and green light everywhere!

That looks really good.
I took some shots of her with the unicorn but she wasn’t smiling so much then. These shows must be pretty wearing for the models after a few days.

Photographing models is not a genre I'm familiar / comfortable with - to me it feels odd taking photos of people like this (especially women) without engaging them, asking permission or being asked to take photos. They were show models though so I guess it was their job to be there and some great photos are posted here. I watched Gavin Hoey on one of the stands and he had good rapport with the model he was working with and that has also been the case when I've watched his online video posts.

I remember going there a few years back with a friend who at the time was going through a marital rough patch pre divorce … I had to walk away from him as he spent the whole day perving over the models quite embarrassing at the time ..p.s we are no longer friends

Back in the day when Damian McGillicuddy was an Olympus Ambassador I went to some of his lighting tutorials. He is a master of studio lighting and it was quite a learning experience. But ultimately, I don't find studio photography all that fulfilling. Good lighting, good camera gear, and an attractive model (of any gender) will deliver a good result, but I'm not sure how much the photographer counts in all that !!
Here he is at work in the old Olympus gallery in London. EM1 with the 12mm f2.
