Glasshouse Mountains from One Tree Hill

I have been trying to get this photo for a long time, but something always gets in the way. Today I met up with some old friends in Mooloolaba and decided to go and take some photos in the Maleny area while I was up on the Sunshine Coast. The day was a bit bright and hazy, but I decided to take some photos anyway. I must try to get up there again towards dusk or dawn to get some "golden hour" shots. The "One Tree" is on private property and so I parked the car on the side of the road and took photos from right at the fence line.

Why is it called one tree hill?

Possibly because there is only one tree on the hill. ;-)

Is that the devils tower in the middle .. any encounters of the third kind ?

That's Mount Coonowrin, generally regarded as a bit of a phallic symbol. ;-)
